Who we are?
Planet Savers is a registered non-profit organization, driven by passion, inspired by change, and dedicated to making a difference in the world. Together with other like-minded individuals, their goal was to establish a Wilderness Leadership School to enrich lives and perspectives regarding nature and our self-worth.
What we do
Our mission is to conserve habitats of endangered species, protect the uniqueness of nature, and raise people’s awareness about the prudent use of natural resources.
Raising awareness through conservation education is crucial to inspiring and empowering people from all walks of life to protect our planet. It is also essential to achieving sustainable development.
Through education, we hope to change the attitudes and actions of people towards wildlife, thereby motivating them to protect the environment.
Our core focus areas include fundraising, community development and fostering partnerships with people and nature.
Why we do what we do
We are all passengers on this sacred Earth, and all plants and animals living here are our fellow travellers. Throughout history, humans have rarely threatened our planet as much as they do today. Change on a grand scale is needed if we are to have any hope of ensuring a future for humans and all other creatures living on Earth.
Our Background
Planet Savers was founded on one principle, “making a difference” we have looked to people worldwide who have dedicated their lives to deep impact work that “moves the needle” in climate change and conservation. Some of our inspirations include Ian Player and his trusted mentor Magqubu Ntombela. We recognise that these people move the needle and are instigators of change that work at the forefront of action-based work and the essential storytelling of such work.
Planet Savers recognises that our planet, the habitat of all living things, is a delicate network of interacting elements, including wildlife, forestland, oceanwater, climate and life, which all shape each other. All things beautiful Planet Earth is our mother and home, and it’s our duty to preserve and protect planet earth for the better good of every living being and the business world. This sacred Earth is our ark, and all the plants and animals living here are our fellow passengers. That ark is threatened now, as never before in history, by human actions and inactions. Over 80% of nature’s destruction – extinction, and climate change results from legal activities. Your support and powerful voice are needed to address the root causes of this environmental destruction and help transform our society into one that coexists in harmony and respect for wilderness and the environment.
